ABSTRACT SCULPTURE: ANNUAL RECONFIGURATION
Supported by the Charles G. and Doreen Bilezikian Endowed Fund

At the end of March/early April, the Abstract Sculpture, a twelve-sided split dodecahedron, is annually reconfigured to commemorate the immigrant experience. The annual reconfiguration is symbolic of all immigrants who were pulled away from their country of origin and came to these Massachusetts shores, establishing themselves in new and different ways.
A crane lifts and pulls apart the two halves of the split dodecahedron, made of steel and aluminum, to create a new sculptural configuration.
